The monopile is generated in a first approximation as a\u00a0<a class=\"internal-link\" title=\"damage accumulation hypothesis\" href=\"https:\/\/ski-consult.de\/en\/monopile\/\">beam model with continuous elastic bedding<\/a>\u00a0Therefore, the realistic detection of the soil properties is of great importance. An idealization with 6-degree of freedom single spring must not be done because of the strong field side diagonal of the stiffness matrix.<\/p><p class=\"bodytext\">The required length of the monopile can be determined using the \"no-tip displacement\" criterion. With this criterion, the horizontal displacements of the monopile are evaluated under different combinations of actions. Border changes rule on the embedment of the pile. The monopile foundation is strongly influenced by the ground conditions in the structural calculation. The changed soil stiffness and the resulting natural frequency shifts have an influence on<\/p><ul><li><div>the gust response factors and hence the wind loads in the ultimate limit state<\/div><\/li><li><div>the law applicable to the limit state of fatigue wave period and frequency<\/div><\/li><li><div>the required pile length to fulfill the \"no-tip displacement\" criterion (no foot displacements of the pile head).<\/div><\/li><\/ul><p>The following\u00a0<a title=\"damage accumulation hypothesis\" href=\"https:\/\/ski-consult.de\/en\/monopile\/\">figure<\/a>\u00a0shows the calculated horizontal displacements for embedment depths 25, 30 and 35m are shown as examples. It can be seen that the insertion depth of 25m is too small, because the horizontal displacement at the base point is relatively large compared to the on the ocean floor. Further, since the displacement curve has no horizontal tangent to the foot, can not be assumed that the clamping in this case. In contrast, is a embedment depth of approximately 30m in front of a horizontal tangent at the base. The version with 35m embedment has a horizontal tangent at about 26m and the horizontal displacements at the base of the monopile go back to zero. Recent developments show that a ring\u00a0<a class=\"internal-link\" title=\"damage accumulation hypothesis\" href=\"https:\/\/ski-consult.de\/en\/ringflanschverbindungen\/\">flange connection<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0<a class=\"internal-link\" title=\"damage accumulation hypothesis\" href=\"https:\/\/ski-consult.de\/en\/schraubenverbindungen\/\">high-strength pretensioned bolts<\/a>\u00a0can be used instead of a grout connection, whereby the MP must already be manufactured with an RFL.<\/p><p class=\"bodytext\">The ram energy is applied directly via the ring flange. This process requires a high degree of precession so that the flange of the TP can be attached later on without any problems.<\/p><p class=\"bodytext\">The\u00a0<a class=\"internal-link\" title=\"damage accumulation hypothesis\" href=\"https:\/\/ski-consult.de\/en\/dynamische-strukturanalysen\/\">dynamic laoding<\/a>\u00a0caused by the pile-driving process causes high stress amplitudes in the ring flange and the\u00a0<a class=\"internal-link\" title=\"damage accumulation hypothesis\" href=\"https:\/\/ski-consult.de\/en\/schweissverbindungen\/\">weld<\/a>. Insofern ist &#8220;Pile Driving Fatigue&#8221; bei der Akkumulation der Betriebslastkollektive zu ber\u00fccksichtigen, um Aussagen \u00fcber die\u00a0<a class=\"internal-link\" title=\"damage accumulation hypothesis\" href=\"https:\/\/ski-consult.de\/en\/taetigkeitsbreiche\/strukturanalysen\/ermuedung\/\">service lifetime<\/a>\u00a0. Imperfections of the ring flange can lead to stress increases in individual sections, so that these influencing variables must also be taken into account when\u00a0<a class=\"internal-link\" title=\"damage accumulation hypothesis\" href=\"https:\/\/ski-consult.de\/en\/taetigkeitsbreiche\/strukturanalysen\/ermuedung\/\">fatigue checks<\/a>\u00a0is performed. In this respect, knowledge of the pile driving process as an interaction between hammer, pile and soil on the one hand and the quantitative effects of the parameters on local stress conditions on the other hand are important. SKI's engineers are able to dynamically simulate the pile-driving process and check the corresponding
