Construction monitoring with measuring sensors

Depending on the application requirements, SKI can integrate different measuring sensors into a higher-level measuring program in order to be able to carry out construction monitoring. SKI is available in an advisory capacity, from the planning of the measurement concept to the application of the measurement chain and the technical evaluation of the measurement data.

SKI has a number of different devices available for carrying out and evaluating the metrological support.

Planning and execution of the measurements

A measurement chain begins with a sensor as the first link and ends with a measurement signal on a data logger as the last link. The measured data pass through the individual links of the chain and can be converted several times. Sensors (measuring sensors) are used to determine an unknown measured variable such as displacements, accelerations or forces.

Sensors are located at the beginning of a measuring chain and convert the unknown measured variable into a measuring signal that can be further processed electrically. Sensors are also called "measuring transducers" because they convert a physical quantity, e.g. acceleration, into an electrical quantity, e.g. electrical voltage.

Measurement chain

Sensors are located at the beginning of a measuring chain and convert the unknown measured variable into a measuring signal that can be further processed electrically. Sensors are also called "measuring transducers" because they convert a physical quantity, e.g. acceleration, into an electrical quantity, e.g. electrical voltage. The measuring signal of the sensor is usually very small and difficult to process. Measuring amplifiers have the task of converting a weak electrical signal into a measuring signal with a larger amplitude. At the end of the measuring chain, the measuring signal is recorded by a measured value output (data logger with storage medium). The measuring chain is shown in the figure below. The yellow highlighted fields show the tasks and provision of associated measuring devices of SKI Ingenieurges. mbH up to a measuring report.
